Description

The famous Scandinavian compass, known as Vegvísir, is a symbol that the Vikings used, apparently, as a kind of solar compass during their navigation trips, something like a compass rose, a circle that has marked around the directions in which the circumference of the horizon is divided.

Symbolically speaking, it was a symbol of protection that helped its wearer as a guide to find the right path.
